Pull ups can be super intimidating, especially for women who don’t have much natural upper body strength. However, even working towards being able to do a pull up will increase your back strength and in turn, improve your position in the saddle (think: a stronger shoulders-back equitation position).

This video is an excellent (and hilarious) walk-through of different exercises to get your lats and back stronger until, before you know it, you’re busting out pull up reps and looking like a badass to all your friends.
