A Nourishing, Anti-Inflammatory Drink: Golden Milk

By  |

Golden milk, also known as turmeric milk, is a perfect morning cuppa in lieu of coffee, or a warming way to unwind and nourish your body at the end of a day.

Turmeric is a powerful super-spice that fights inflammation, and has been shown in scientific studies to outperform many pharmaceuticals in fighting chronic diseases and ailments. Including a healthy fat like coconut oil aids in your body’s absorption of the spice, since turmeric is fat-soluble (which means that it doesn’t fully dissolve unless it is in fat).

All you’ll need is:

Coconut/rice/almond/ or dairy milk – whatever you prefer!
Turmeric (powder or root)
Ginger (powder or root)
Black pepper
Coconut Oil
Cinnamon powder
Honey (optional)

Here’s a great how-to video for making golden milk. Cheers!
