#TastyTuesdays: The Super Smoothie

By  |

Want to supercharge your morning?  Drop the sugar cereals and protein bars for breakfast and try out this delicious, nutritious, and filling smoothie.  This smoothie is my go to every morning (after a cup of coffee of course) and keeps me going during morning chores at the barn.  It takes roughly 5-7 minutes to make so you don’t have an excuse to miss the most important meal of the day anymore.  Give it a try, you will not be disappointed!

  • ½ cup of frozen peaches
  • ½ cup of frozen blueberries or blackberries (both are phenomenal)
  • 1 frozen banana
  • ¼ cup of oats
  • 1 cup of kale
  • ¾ cup of almond milk
  • ¼ cup of cranberry juice or water (juice makes it a tad sweeter, water is a great option)
  • 1 tablespoon of honey

  • Simply blend and enjoy.  The frozen fruit replaces your need for ice (plus it’s cheaper).  No need to throw away those brown bananas, just cut them in half and put them in the freezer! If you use regular fruit, add about 1 cup of ice and add more if needed.
