#TastyTuesdays: Peanut Butter Protein Balls

By  |

The absolute best snack for the equestrian on the go.  This recipe makes about 8-9 servings, roughly 18 protein balls, and is incredibly filling for a low calorie snack in between meals!  Put them in a container and store them in your refrigerator at home or at the barn.  This recipe is a perfect alternative to heavily processed protein bars or salty snacks.  Simple, healthy, and filling; what more could you want?

  • 2/3 cup of creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup of oatmeal
  • 2 tablespoons of honey
  • 1/4 cup of dark chocolate chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup of flaxseed

  • Mix it all together and let chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes
  • Once chilled, roll into one inch balls and roll balls into oatmeal and mini chocolate chips
  • Leave in fridge until ready to eat, if left out too long they will become mushy

Serving size: 1-2 balls
