Fix and Forget: Roasted Chickpeas

By  |

The mighty chickpea, packed with protein #gainz! Also called garbanzo beans, chickpeas are the main ingredient in hummus, so you know it’s gotta be good when roasted. This handy snack is the triple threat: crunchy, tasty, and easy.

You will need:

Baking Pan

1 (15oz) can garbanzo beans

1 Tablespoon olive oil

1/8 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)

1/8 teaspoon chili powder (optional)

1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper

1/8 teaspoon salt

Drain the beans and rinse with water.

Spread beans on paper towel and pat dry (the drier the beans the crunchier they will be). In a bowl add bean and rest of ingredients and toss to coat the beans.

Spread beans on baking pan and roast for 30-40 minutes, stirring occasionally.

If the beans need more roasting, simply turn off the oven and let them roast for 5 more minutes.

Let cool and enjoy!
